Sausage Adventures.
All day I run words through my head. Grandiose visions of a beautiful future. The rush of living, and the wonder of life. I wow the beginning to 100 stories, and throw their endings to fate a winking eyelid. I eavsdrop on fellow humans, I’m cruel and in the clouds.
I have decided to complile a list of Surf groups. Im not entirely sure why im doing this, probably to collect more of these records. Ive been finding that they can be rather expensive, but not too hard to come across. Also, if youre interested in collecting these, note that many of the early stuff from the 50s is mainly instrumental. I was a dummy for a while about that.
Who are the pioneers of of the surf guitar? Link Wray, Duane Eddy, and the Ventures paved the way … Dick Dale is… well, the King of surf guitar!
Surf music subject matter stays pretty much focused on the beach and all that encompasses: babes, waves, sun, bikinis, etc. Also of focus are hot rods and engines and shit. Kinda are ‘dude’ songs, but even if you dont know what a 409 is you know you still act like you do.
In my opinion the raunchier surf the better. Gritty, warbling and tiki shakin’. Surfs up dude!
Here are a few bands of interest. Lots of them have videos on youtube, so you can check them out first before you buy the record. Also there is a ‘Pebbles’ surf comp out, i think its volume 4. If you have something to add please comment, i like to know shit too guys.
